For years, women (and men) have looked at the scale to determine their health. We are given an “ideal” weight that we need to attain (even doctors use BMI based strictly on your weight to height ratio). This focus is unhealthy and causes us to seek something that may not even be physiologically possible.

You’ve probably heard a lot about magnesium lately, especially if you follow the wellness community… it’s being touted as the magic mineral that everyone is lacking and fixes everything. While that’s not necessarily the case, the claims do have some validity. Magnesium is an important mineral that many people today are lacking, and it’s important to learn more about it — especially if you’re looking to up your magnesium intake.

It’s the best time of the year! Decorations, holiday music, food, and all the sugar — everywhere. Before you go all out on the holiday diet you’re planning (AKA “holiday calories don’t count and New Years resolutions are right around the corner”), we want to give you a little more insight about sugar. Maybe this information will help you make more informed choices when you’re surrounded by all the sugary goodness! Don’t get us wrong, we love sweets as much as the next person, but we want to make sure you’re picking the right kind of sweets when you indulge.

Thanksgiving is a week and many of us will be giving thanks for our family, friends, food, freedom, and so much more. In fact, this month Vessel is encouraging people to show gratitude for their body and the way it serves them every day. Gratitude is something that should be a part of your every day life, and by making a point to do it, you can actually change your entire mindset and life approach.
