FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

things to know

We’ve gathered the most common questions about the studio, classes, scheduling, and policies below. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Get in touch! We're always happy to help.

Our Town Center studio is located at 21 N Main Street across from Russo’s New York Pizzeria and down from Chachi’s Mexican Restaurant. Free parking is located in front or behind the studio. Additional parking is located behind Russo’s Pizzeria or on the other side of Fuddruckers off of Kingwood Dr.

We recommend wearing comfortable workout apparel that you can easily move in. We work barefoot during Reformer, Mat Pilates, Barre and yoga classes as well as individual sessions, but grippy socks can also be worn. You are more than welcome to bring your own pair of socks, or you can purchase a pair at the studio. Tennis shoes are required only during HIIT training classes.

Vessel Pilates has everything you need! This includes mats, towels and water for drinking. Upon entering the studio, you’ll find a filtered-water machine (cups included) and towels ready for use. If you prefer to drink from a water bottle, feel free to bring your own and fill it up at the studio!

If it's your first time or you've been before but haven't filled out a Health Form, please take a minute to fill out our Health Intake before coming in or allow yourself an extra 5 minutes to fill it out at the studio.

We recommend arriving 5 to 10 minutes before your class or individual session. If you happen to arrive early, there is a lounge area for you to wait in.

Of course! We have a dressing room and bathrooms located in the back of the first and second floor available for you to use.

You can sign in with our Client Care Specialist at the front desk. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask anyone on the VP team.

If you’re running late, don't stress. Simply give us a heads-up by calling the studio directly. Please note that once the class has started, your spot may be given to a standby guest if the class is full. All services are non-refundable.

Things happen and we completely understand, which is why we reward those that let us know in advance if they cannot attend a class. If you know you can't make it and you have passed the late cancellation window of eight (8) hours, simply open your Vessel Pilates app and click "late cancel." In doing so, you will be charged $10 late-cancellation fee (but will get your class credit back). By cancelling late, you're releasing your spot to another guest. If you miss a class and do not notify us, you will either lose your class credit or if on an unlimited be charged $25 no-show fee. Cancelling within 60 minutes of the class may be considered a no-show. All fees associated with cancellation apply to memberships only, whereas package-holders will simply lose their class.

You are free to cancel your individual session up to 24 hours before your session start time. If you need to cancel your session inside the 24-hour window, you will lose your session. This is simply to protect our instructors, their teaching time and schedules.

We recommend putting yourself on the waiting list in case of a cancellation. There is always a chance that someone will cancel and spaces open up. If a spot opens, you will receive a SMS text asking you to confirm or cancel your spot on the class. To receive text notifications, you must opt in to notifications via SMS within your Vessel App or Momence account. As soon as you know you can no longer make it to class, please remove yourself from the waiting list to ensure that it goes to the next person. Once you move from the waiting list into the class, our late cancellation policy applies if you miss it.

Our instructors are well-trained and can work with individuals at various levels within a single Reformer or Mat Pilates class. Therefore, individual sessions are not required, but we do recommend them if you have any injuries or restrictions and/or prefer a specialized workout routine. We love having new people join our classes and recommend newcomers to arrive early so that your instructor can walk you through what to expect, giving you modifications where necessary.

Pilates can be a rehabilitative movement, but we would never categorize it as a “cure-all.” Our instructors are well-educated and trained to help modify each movement they teach during any class. Do not forget to disclose your injuries on your health history form. Should new injuries arise, please take the time to notify your instructor before class begins. Certain injuries can prevent a successful class experience. By making us aware of your injuries/restrictions, we can modify your movements so that you get the most out of your workout.

Of course, incorporating Pilates into your routine once a week is better than no Pilates at all, but to really see the promising results it offers, we recommend coming in 3 to 4 times a week.

Unless you are restricted because of an injury, incorporating all classes taught at Vessel Pilates will allow you to experience a variety of movements, keeping your body and mind challenged at all times. A balanced mat and equipment regimen exposes you to different Pilates classes and will give you the greatest results. At Vessel Pilates, we believe that it is important to switch things up every once in a while so that you can continue to feel refreshed and balanced in your everyday life.
