Q. Tell us a little about yourself.

A. Grew up in Kingwood, but moved to Seattle, WA, for high school and college. Returned to get my Master’s degree from The Bush School oaf Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University (WHOOP). Worked in DC for two years before settling into the Texas Capitol, where I still work today. My parents also moved back and live in Royal Shores. I am the youngest of five siblings, with the closest one in age ten years my senior. And they have given me the best gift: 10 beautiful nieces & nephews! Our family gatherings are loud and overwhelming and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Q. What does your current workout routine look like?

A. Currently, I am splitting my time between Vessel and Rush Cycle, a rythmic indoor cycle studio. At Vessel, I like to rotate between Reformer instructors and Yoga.

Q. How important have you found exercise to be for you? What benefits have you noticed?

A. Exercise is vital to my physical well-being but also my mental wellness. I notice a decline in myself even if I happen to just miss a few days.

Q. When do you like to workout most? First thing in the morning, late afternoon?

A. For hard cardio, I like to get it done first thing in the morning. I prefer Yoga at night, but I will take Reformer any time of day!

Q. How do you make your workouts a priority?

A. For me, it is all about the schedule. If I start the week with a plan, I will follow through.

Q. Any tips you’d like to share to new clients coming into Vessel?

A. When you step into Vessel, you are not just at a studio or boutique, you are entering a community. Each client is there for her physical and mental well-being but also to support you on your journey. The size of the classes allow for us to really get to know each other and grow together. And I cannot say enough about the instructors – Jessica in particular. She is so inspriring! I came to her in September with a crazy idea for one of the local nonprofits I volunteer for and she threw herself into it without question. She planned an entire Community Pilates class to benefit Project Mammogram, and while the event was not a great success, her willingness to support this organization has meant so much to me! This year in particular, PM will have every dollar we raise matched! So Jessica also created tshirts to sell in studio with proceeds benefitting the program. And you can still donate to the Vessel Fundraising Team at https://betterunite.com/VesselPilates-nehf-nehf-becomeanintheloopdonor.

A huge thank you to Casey for being such an inspiration At Vessel and within our community. With her big heart, determination, and wisdom, we know she will continue doing great things for this city and those all around her.

Leave Casey some love below and continue following along for more collaborations with this beautiful lady!
