Summertime Mocktails

Summer is in full swing around here, and people are definitely living it up! Whether it’s by the pool, around the grill, or at a summer backyard party, people are ready to eat and drink it up. While we all love a good cocktail, sometimes it’s good to give yourself a break from the booze. We have gathered some delicious, and healthy, mocktail recipes for you to incorporate into your summer so you can treat your tastebuds *and* your body!

Something Citrusy

How about a fresh Paloma on a hot day? It has the perfect combination of sweet and tangy! This one from All the Healthy Things uses maple syrup instead of simple syrup which makes it Paleo friendly!

How about a good margarita mocktail recipe? We are loving this one right now from Fit Foodie Finds. It has agave syrup, which is what tequila comes from, some orange and lime and a bit of sparkling water. Great for a night outside with chips and salsa.

Traditionals (That the Kids Will Even Love)

Watermelon is a summer staple, and this watermelon agua fresca is just what you need when sitting by the pool. The littles will love it also! The great thing about watermelon is that it has tons of nutrients that help keep you hydrated during the hot months. You will not be disappointed with this one.

Everyone loves a good strawberry daiquari! This one a paleo one, but the way to make it virgin is to just omit the rum/vodka. Honestly, this would even make a great Popsicle for the kiddos.

Remember ordering a Shirley Temple when you were a kid and wanted a fancy drink like your parents? Why did we ever stop drinking them? They are truly delicious! This is a lower sugar option that has cherry and pomegranate juice in it so you get all the added benefits of those vitamin-packed fruits without the guilt of overindulgence.

A Twist on the Usual

We haven’t tried this avocado margarita, but it sounds like something to put on rotation for Taco Tuesdays! This recipe has tequila, but you can just omit the tequila for your healthy mocktail. Avocados are insanely good for you and add tons of creaminess to foods. Let us know if you try it out.

This hibiscus sangria mocktail is so refreshing and can totally take the place of your average lemonade or extra special sangria. Imagine sitting on the front porch cooling off with this fruity and healthy tea. No one will even miss the booze! Make sure to serve it in an adorable glass so everyone can enjoy how pretty it is.
