One of the great thing about our Vessel community is that everyone has something interesting to share. As you’re probably aware, many of us love reading, and one of our members has her own Instagram page dedicated to books!

Meredith’s Instagram handle is @BookInMyPurse and she gives so many recommendations, reviews, and updates about her current reads! She also has tons of followers who are fellow book lovers! We asked her for some of her favorite recommendations and compiled them below!

For all of you romantics out there, In the Likely Event (check out Meredith’s review) and King of Wrath are some great recommendations. If you’re looking for something lightweight that’ll leave you with a smile on your face, be sure to check out Beach Read or The Happy Ever After Playlist. Both are sweet reads that you’re sure to devour. Meredith posted her review of The Happy Ever After Playlist on her page and you can even listen to the book’s soundtrack on Spotify!

Lessons in Chemistry is a book about a female chemist breaking who is stuck in a time when women were expected to stay home and conform to the cultural norms of a male-dominated society. She breaks those boundaries and more while trying to provide for her daughter. And, The Alice Network is a novel based on a true story about a spy wing during WWI operating in German-occupied Europe.

Everyone likes a good thriller every once in a while. Set in a former sanatorium turned posh hotel, a group of people get snowed in just as murders begin to happen. A creepy setting, murder, and family drama all wrapped up in one book, The Sanatorium will keep you wondering what comes next? The Silent Patient gets into the mind and motivations behind a wife with a seemingly-perfect life who ends up murdering her husband.

Fantasy is a true escape from reality and sometimes we just need a good world beyond our own. There are so many great books in this category! Throne of Glass, The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches (review here), Fourth Wing, A Court of Thornes and Roses, A Soul of Ash and Blood, and The City of Brass are Meredith’s top six, but it’s so hard to narrow it down!
